Junior Cricket and Clubmark at HCC
Hollingbourne CC - Junior Section
Coaching is on Sunday mornings from 10am to 11.30am (read below)
On behalf of Hollingbourne Cricket Club I would like to welcome you and your child and provide you with some information about the cricket activities we offer. Hollingbourne Cricket Club provides opportunities for young people between the ages of 6 and 18 to receive coaching and competition in the local leagues. All coaching is by qualified coaches who are trained and have been screened for their suitability for working with young people.
The club has the ECB’s Clubmark Accreditation, which is awarded to cricket clubs by the England and Wales Cricket Board when the cricket club is able to demonstrate that it meets the ECB Clubmark criteria as across four areas: Duty of Care and Safeguarding Children; the Cricket Programme the club offers, Knowing your club and its community and Club Management. ECB Clubmark is an acknowledgement that we take these issues seriously and that we are striving to provide a high quality and welcoming environment for young participants in cricket.
We welcome parents/carers and guardians to all training and competitions and value your support. We are keen to try and involve parents and carers in the club and would like to invite you to one of our sessions on a Sunday morning, where you can meet club members and find out more about the club. Below is some information about training times and dates, and details regarding travel arrangements, kit and membership.
In 2010, training sessions take place on Sunday mornings from 10am to 11.30am at the home ground in Pilgrims Way, Hollingbourne. Arrangements should be made for your child to travel to and from training sessions and matches. We appreciate it if children can arrive promptly and are collected promptly at the end of the session, if they are not making their own way home. If you are going to be late picking your child up, please contact me on my number below and let me know.
Club training kit consists of white top and trousers or tracksuit and trainers. The cost of each training session is £3 and the club has a membership fee of £10 per season and this should be paid as soon as possible (this will go towards new training equipment and match balls for our Junior Section).
For more details please contact Andy Griffiths on 07515 051200 or andy.griffiths@hollingbournecc.co.uk
If you wish to just turn up at a session and join in, then please complete the Membership Form below and bring with you. An Introductory Letter is also below along with a Welcome pack for you: -
